PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE

David Angley, Esq.,  is a seasoned Florida attorney and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. 

David obtained a B.A. in History from the University of Central Florida. After college, David worked in the areas of financial aid and regulatory compliance for an independent post-secondary college that provided career focused training to its students. David also served as the School Director of Alpha Institute in Port St. Lucie, Florida. After years of experience in the field of education, David left to pursue his passion for the law. 

David received his law degree, with honors, from Barry University School of Law in December of 2015. During law school, David was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board  and was a Semi-Finalist in the 2014 Orseck Memorial Moot Court Competition and a Quarter Finalist in the 2015 Charleston Moot Court Competition. David's academic credentials also include a published article in the Barry Law Review titled "Modern Debtors Prison in the State of Florida: How the State's Brand of Cash Register Justice Leads to Imprisonment for Debt." 21 Barry L. Rev. (2016). 

 

After graduation, David was promptly admitted to the Florida Bar in 2016. For the next decade David practiced as a civil trial lawyer in Tampa, Florida at a premier Florida law firm and was named partner in the firm in 2024. There David handled an active and dynamic case load representing multiple Fortune 500 companies in all phases of litigation in complex civil matters in state and federal trial courts throughout Florida. David’s experience includes a wide range of litigated matters such as first-party and third-party insurance bad faith, insurance coverage, personal injury, first-party claims (PIP/Windshield/Homeowners), breach of contract, legal malpractice, multi-party pre-suit litigation and global settlement conferences, and appeals to Florida’s District Courts of Appeal and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. This breadth of experience has given David a deep, practical understanding of how cases are evaluated from all angles, litigated, and resolved at every stage of litigation.

At Angley Law & Mediation, David has combined his legal acumen and business experience to provide legal services and advice in the areas of:

Further, through the years of representing institutional clients, David gained unique experience and insight on risk analysis, case valuation, the decision-making pressures on carriers, how plaintiffs and their attorneys evaluate risk and outcomes and how this translates into the real-world pressures and factors that influence settlement decisions. Armed with this experience, David  knows how to speak to all sides of a conflict or disputed matter and uses his unique experience and perspective to help parties realistically assess their position. David knows how to get parties beyond impasse and through roadblocks by applying incisive analysis, candid discussion, and knowledge of negotiation strategy to help you to reach a durable and informed resolution. David's dynamic and concierge solution-focused approach helps to get cases settled.

David is a member of all Florida state and appellate courts, the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida and is certified by the  Florida Supreme Court to mediate Circuit Civil matters in Florida. 

When he is not working or mediating cases, David enjoys spending time with his wife and children, reading, perfecting his BBQ recipes, and staying active.
